HOW WE TRANSFER PROJECTION FILM TO DVD
Our Professional FRAME-BY-FRAME
film transfer method captures the very
highest quality of your priceless film.
First, we manually inspect, clean, and
condition every inch of your film. We
then capture each frame of your film using
high resolution CCD cameras. Our computers
then optimize the color, brightness, sharpness,
and clarity of each individual frame before
combining into a full motion video with
absolutely no flicker!
You'll see your film more clearly and
brighter than ever before! |
HOW
DO I KNOW HOW MUCH FILM I HAVE?
The small 3-1/2 inch diameter reels
are 50 feet. You can tell how much film
is on larger reels but looking closely
at the inner spokes of the reel. There
is typically an indentation indicating
how much film is wrapped around the reel.
Add all reel lengths (round up to the
nearest 50 feet) and multiple by $.36
cents to find your total film transfer
cost. |

HOW WE TRANSFER VIDEO TAPES TO DVD
Each video tape is inspected and processed
using high-end video playback equipment.
Don't play your video tapes even one
more time because with each pass of
the video tape over the VCR playback
head will further disrupt the magnetic
particles on the video substrate causing
permanent loss of both audio and video.
Even without playback your video tapes
degrade every day due to the aging process
of the tape substrate!

Magnetic
media is extremely volatile and can easily become
degraded even though you might not see the degradation
during playback with your naked eye. Video tapes
vary in format and quality from manufacturer to
manufacturer. Regardless of the quality of video
tape, the agents and binders used to hold the magnetic
particles (iron oxide) to the tape (ferrite substrate)
breaks down over time even without playback.
This results in permanent video and audio degradation.
|
Each
pass of a video tape through a VCR or camcorder further
breaks down these binding agents and causes permanent
video and audio degradation as magnetic particles become
disorganized and fall away from the tape. Each viewing
of a video tape or film reel further degrades the tape.
As video tape and film media age they become more and
more unstable and degraded. Time is not on your side.
